End of season renovation work is the most important work of the year to be carried out on your cricket square. Your end of season renovation work is vital for your next playing season.
Scarifying to remove the build up of thatch, solid tining aeration to your wickets and to relieve the compaction of all the traffic that has been on it throughout the season.
Over seeding to bring grass growth back to worn areas, top dressing of 6-10 bags of compatible sterilised cricket loam. There are many different types of cricket loam available including kaloam, boughton, mendip amongst the most commonly used. To correctly identify which loam should be used on your cricket square an accurate ‘motty’ test should be undertaken to see which loam bonds best.
